Whether or not ground operations in a humvee could be uplinked to Predator Drones, Satellites or other intelligence gathering systems so the most advanced military troops would no longer be blind at the point of contact was a question that SpecOps Systems resoundingly answers in the affirmative. As fully operational, robust equivalent of a top of the line powerhouse desktop equivalent that could be worn on the body armor and stand up to both atmospheric pressure and water pressure at depth yet still be fully functional. Underwater operational depth enables the system to be worn and carried during alternative exfiltration and insertion on classified and dangerous missions. Available technology that could be carried into combat where flimsy laptops that really were impractical during the very tough parameters that defined typical dangerous operations. The task was to build such a system utilizing off the shelf components and the technology that access to NASA afforded them.

Our goal has been to move computers out of the office and the headquarters, away from relatively sedentary situations and make them completely mobile, rugged, interactive tools that can be carried easily by an individual and function reliably at all times. Laptops were a step in the right direction, but their major shortcoming has always been that they need a lap or other relatively stable placement, thus forcing the user into a sedentary state in order to access the computer. While not exactly fragile, laptops require a relatively narrow range of temperature and other conditions or they simply stop operating.

Most recently, SpecOps Systems has begun working with the First Responders, bringing technology from the military to our domestic responders. In an exercise at Boston University, the SpecOps Systems PAC4IR was worn by the tactical team entering the building. During the course of the drill, the tactical team received real time video and data feeds from the mobile command center directly into the heads up display system. The result was the tactical team could see what was happening down each corridor and in the main situation room before they entered those spaces. Had this been a real scenario, the safety of the students and the officers would have been higher and the chances of a good otucome would be mulitplied exponentially.
