Richard L. Knopf, Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO

Mr. Knopf has 35 years of management experience, more than half in technology and start-up situations.  He was an active service Naval Officer and earned an AB and MBA from Columbia University.  He spent the past ten years as a project manager at the University of Southern California Regional Technology Transfer Center, part of the USC School of Engineering that brought NASA technology to the commercial arena in eight Western States.  He has extensive knowledge of how US NAVY SEALs and other SPECOPS operators function, and has extensive contacts within the very top ranks of the SEAL Community.  In his prior career, Mr. Knopf served as CEO of Divisions of two NYSE companies and Executive Vice President of a third.



 

Daley T. Coulter, Co-Founder, Executive Vice President, Operations

Mr. Coulter spent 27 years as a US Navy SEAL, retiring as a Commander about 12 years ago and is widely considered one of the leading technology security individuals in the world.  He consults for DOE and Homeland Security pursuing the components for dirty nuclear bombs and other WMD worldwide.  He retired as Chief of Staff, Naval Special Warfare, Group 2, the East Coast Command for SEAL Teams 2,4,8, 10 and started the high tech procurement arm for Naval Special Warfare. His other postings included Commanding Officer Seal Team Three, which covered Southwest Aisa. He was also involved in the training of more than 7,000 foreign Special Forces opeators and more than 70% of today’s top SEAL team commanders.



  Gerald W. Wuest, Vice President, Technology

Jerry's background spans over 30 years in both public and private companies and he has an extensive background in all aspects of the electronics, software and manufacturing industries.  Jerry brings over 30 years experience in the various different facets of Electronic Systems Design, Software Design, System Development and Manufacturing and is skilled in both domestic and international (high volume) manufacturing.  Jerry served in the USAF for 7 years where he introduced a new mobile radar processing system and was responsible for maintaining and repairing all computerized communications and display equipment in the Command Post




 

Deon Ward, Investor Relations

A high school sports star in baseball in Manteca, CA he was heavily recruited to play Division I College Baseball and attended Sacramento State University as a Criminal Justice Major.  In 1998, he became a District Sales Manager at Beneficial Finance and subsequently Sales Manager at Long Beach Mortgage.  Mr. Ward is responsible for 100% of the outside funding in the initial securities offering at SPECOPSSYSTEMS, Inc. and continues to lead all activities related to Investor Relations.



  Caroline Tucker, Co-Founder

Ms. Tucker has over 20 years proven experience in Technical Sales and Business Development in the Aerospace and related industries.  For the past 8 years, Ms. Tucker was president of an international consulting firm which helped clients realize bottom line revenue through the development and penetration of new markets, licensing intellectual property, and government lobbying and business development.  Ms. Tucker holds degrees in Applied Math and Aerospace Engineering from UC San Diego as well as an MBA from the University of Southern California. 




  Michael Herman, Senior Technologist

Michael has 17 years of experience as an engineering problem solver at International Paper and Capstone Turbine Corporation.   In these companies he combined technical expertise, a strong business sense, and creative problem solving techniques on a wide range of problems that crossed functional areas, generally using novel and creative methods.  These problems and solutions have lead to large process technical and economic efficiency improvements, new products, better design methodology, as well as advancements in process control of several unit operations, fluid dynamics, surface chemistry, and operations research.  Michael has also been an adjunct faculty member at several colleges, teaching courses in biology, physics, chemistry, and statistics.  Michael received his BS, ME, and DE degrees in Chemical Engineering from Tulane University.

  Rich Johnson, Senior Product Advisor

Rich Johnson also has over twenty years with Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) and Compaq Computer Corporation (1977-2000).  For the last eleven of those years he was Director of Industrial and Graphic Design at DEC, and then Director of Strategic Industrial Design at Compaq. Since that time, Rich has been providing product development and branding services to companies globally.  He has the expertise to lead and blend inputs from management and marketing to achieve the company’s project goal.




  Frank Muller, Advisor

Mr. Muller has held senior level positions at a variety of private and public companies. 




  David Chang, Technology and General Advisor

David Chang has 50 years of experience in industry, government, and academia.  He’s served in a number of roles such as Technology Director, Chief Scientist, and Senior Technology Manger and R&D positions at GM Hughes Electronics, Occidental Research, Boeing, and the U.S. Department of Commerce.  He has held adjunct professorships at UCI, UW, USC, and CSULA, and currently consults for a variety of organizations.  Dr. Chang has over 200 publications and patents in several areas of basic and applied physics

Bill Pelton, Intellectual Property Advisor

William E. Pelton was born in Washington, D.C. in 1941. He was educated at Syracuse University where he received his B.S. degree in physics and LL.B. degrees. He is admitted to the New York State Bar, the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Second, Fifth, Seventh, and Federal Circuits and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Pelton is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He deals primarily with patent litigation in the electrical arts, including computers, video imaging and GPS. He is a member of The Association of the Bar of the City of New York and has served on its Patent Committee and its Ethics Committee. He served  as a Member on the Committee on Professional Discipline of the New York State Bar Association from 1977-1984. He is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, Federal Circuit Bar Association and the Federation Internationale Des Conseils En Propriete Industrielle (FICPI). Mr. Pelton has lectured to lawyers at the Practicing Law Institute and is a contributor to the Patent Litigation Strategies Handbook, published by BNA for the ABA Section of Intellectual Property Law; he is a member of the Board of Advisors of the Syracuse University College of Law.



  John Gordon, Corporate and General Security Advisor

Mr. Gordon served as an FBI agent for thirty years where he specialized in  White Collar Crime, National Security, Organized Crime and other areas.  During that time, he worked on the largest search warrant ever issued by the US Justice Department to that time.  Mr. Gordon is a graduate of Dickenson University in Pennsylvania and joined the United States Air Force after graduation.  He was awarded the distinguished Flying Cross as a navigator on a B52 bomber.




  Paul Hoeber, Legal Advisor

Mr. Hoeber graduated from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 1970.  After graduation, he began his legal career as a law clerk, first in San Francisco for Judge James R. Browning of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and then in Washington, D.C. for Justice William J. Brennan, Jr. of the United States Supreme Court.  Following his clerkships, Mr. Hoeber remained in Washington for six years.  His work there included service as an Assistant Special Prosecutor on the Watergate Special Prosecution Force and as a Special Attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice.  In 1978, he returned to the San Francisco Bay Area where he taught law for eight years at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.  Since 1986, he has been engaged in the private practice of law in San Francisco, both as a partner in the firm Marron, Reid & Sheehy, LLP and, since 1997, as a sole practitioner.  He has appeared before many courts, including the California Supreme Court and the United States Supreme Court.



  John Cirigliano, Strategy Advisor

Mr. Cirigliano graduated from Columbia College, where he played football, and received his JD from New York Law School. Immediately following graduation from law school, he entered the investment banking industry and became a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch.  Mr. Cirigliano has been involved in multiple corporate fundings, restructurings, IPO's and other facets of Investment Banking and served as a Senior Advisor to the Red Herring Magazine.  Mr. Cirigliano has served as a member of the Board of Directors of several corporations and presently serves as Chairman/CEO of Clearbrook Companies and through Clearbrook, the General Partner of Corporate Capital Partners.  He is very active in alumni affairs at Columbia University.  Columbia awarded John the Alumni Medal for Conspicuous service in 1991 and Maniatty Distinguished Alumni Awards in 2004 and 2005 and has endowed a scholarship at the University.
